Steve wanted to say a special thank you to all those who have taken up the junior puck sponsorship package for the Mo19 game tomorrow night. Each of the fans will get special Mo goodies and will have a unique experience of the testimonial game to remember. So to all of the fans below, a huge ‘Thank you’ form Mo!
The Mo19 Roster is completed by versatile veteran Tony Redmond. The 38 year-old Glasgow Native is one of the most well-known players from the BNL and EPL Leagues, having played multiple seasons for Guildford and Slough, as well as several spells in Basingstoke (both Beavers and Bison).
Tony has over 900 games in his career, which began in 1988 with the Glasgow Eagles. Able to play forward and defence, he is another quality, experienced player lining up on Saturday 25th.
Mo had this to say about his last invitee:
‘Tony has been an exceptional hockey player for so many years but more importantly for me, he is a very special person.
We have become very good friends sharing great times and some tough times. He is a person that I look up to and highly respect and I am very happy that he completes the Mo19 team’

British Ice Hockey Legend Gordon Latto will ice for Mo in the game this Saturday, 25th August.
Though their time on the Fife Flyers roster was brief, the long-serving Scottish defenceman made a lasting impression on Mo and adds his all-round ability and huge experience to the lineup for the game.
Inducted into the UK Hall of Fame in 1999 he spent almost all of his 656 game careers with the Flyers in Kirkcaldy, including the first season of a young Steve Moria as he made his British debut in the Heineken League.
Mo says this about Latto joining the team:
‘I am pumped that Gogs is playing in my Testimonial game. He was my captain in Fife and was the first player that I really admired.
He brings it all to whatever sport he is playing, a competitor on the ice, golf course or snooker table! For those who have never heard of Gordon Latto, he is the Fife Flyers iconic figure and I am excited to step on the ice with him one more time.’

Mo is delighted to announce the latest addition to his team for the match on 25th August.
Former team-mate and current EIHL player with the Cardiff Devils, Davies is an exciting player that works tremendously hard every shift.
Though he is only 21, the Welshman has great experience having played nearly 200 EIHL games and represented GB at U18. U19 and U20 level.
Mo had this to say about Ben:
‘I suppose that in proper testimonial etiquette, a player like Ben would not be included as I only played with him for a short time.
However, I was so impressed with the way Ben conducted himself, both as a hockey player and as a person, that I wanted to include him. He is quick, dynamic and has a great accent!’
Ben lines up alongside Mo and a starry roster of invitees for this one of a kind game. Don’t miss out on your tickets, call the Box Office now on 01256 355266
Mo is very pleased to announce some superb and totally unique auction items that will be available following the match on 25th August.
Thanks to the generosity of donors we will be offering, among others:
- Norfolk Admirals (youth) jersey signed by the 2011-12 Admirals Roster
- A UAF (Mo’s former University team in Alaska) 2012 replica jersey with unique ‘Moria 19′ cresting. Currently unsigned we know we could persuade the man of the moment to autograph it for the lucky winner
- A Game-worn Mo19 jersey from the night of the game. This will have been worn by Mo himself during the game and will come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
There will be raffle prizes throughout the night and we are also hoping to add some truly rare items from Mo’s illustrious career which would be of interest to any British Ice Hockey aficionado, but perhaps some more than others!

Mo is delighted to welcome another sponsor on board for the match on 25th August.
Nutshell events are a South Wales based production company run by Paul Sullivan, Cardiff Devils match night announcer.
Nutshell will be filming both the game itself and interviews and bench-side footage on the day of the game. With some close-ups planned of the on ice entertainment at the game there will be a great souvenir of the event for Mo, his family and all his fans.
‘Mo and I joined the Devils in the same season. One of us was a superstar signing with soft hands, silky skills and the adoration of thousands. The other one just kind of crept in unnoticed in Block 13…
When Steve got in touch about the testimonial match I jumped at the chance to help out. All those games, all those goals, all those trophies; it’s very satisfying, in a very small way to be able to pay back a gentleman of the game – and a Devils legend to boot – for all that joy during those wonderful seasons he played in South Wales.’
