Legendary Latto laces up for Moria

August 21, 2012

British Ice Hockey Legend Gordon Latto will ice for Mo in the game this Saturday, 25th August.

Though their time on the Fife Flyers roster was brief, the long-serving Scottish defenceman made a lasting impression on Mo and adds his all-round ability and huge experience to the lineup for the game.

Inducted into the UK Hall of Fame in 1999 he spent almost all of his 656 game careers with the Flyers in Kirkcaldy, including the first season of a young Steve Moria as he made his British debut in the Heineken League.

Mo says this about Latto joining the team:

‘I am pumped that Gogs is playing in my Testimonial game. He was my captain in Fife and was the first player that I really admired.

He brings it all to whatever sport he is playing, a competitor on the ice, golf course or snooker table! For those who have never heard of Gordon Latto, he is the Fife Flyers iconic figure and I am excited to step on the ice with him one more time.’

Join these two icons of the British game on Saturday for a totally unique evening in Basingstoke Arena. Call the Box office now on 01256 355266
